Before the half term, our value was respect and tolerance. The children learnt lots about this value through the visits and visitors that we had, but especially though our ‘Value Ambassador’ Paralympian – Laura Sugar. Laura competed in Rio this year and worked with our children, before she left for the Olympics in August. They were quite inspired by her visit.

Throughout last term, every time a child demonstrated this value, they earned a token for their class jar. Our Year Six, collected the most tokens and decided that they would very much enjoy a morning of cooking to apply their Maths skills. ‘The Year Six Bake Off’ happened this morning and we clearly have lots of budding bakers! The children had a wonderful time and independently created some delicious creations that have hugely impressed the Year Six team. Their team work, and resilience certainly paid off! Well done Year Six!
