The entire school took part in celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali on Monday afternoon. There was a real buzz in every single classroom. The teachers had planned some amazing activities and opportunities for the children. Reception children created henna patterns on their hands and the Year 1 children took part in some cooking and made delicious coconut truffles – they did taste as good as they looked! Years 2 and 3 made a special smoothie, complete with carefully designed straws and made salt dough diva lamps. Years 4, 5 and 6 designed beautiful Rangoli patterns, made Diwali cards and tasted some incredible food. Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and we cannot wait to do it again!
